The Common seal pupping season is well under way and the calls are coming thick and fast. Thankfully most of the calls we are getting are for healthy seals :)

We have 5 pups in care at the minute. Two of these pups are still in ICU. They will be introduced over the next few days so stay tuned.

Tinkerbell our 1st pup of the season is an A++++ student, she loves to play in her bath with the fish and we have even caught her nibbling on them. She loves getting her fish feeds now and is learning very quickly how to eat them on her own. Hopefully she will not need our assistance too much longer with the feeds.

Thumper is still getting tube fed as we needed to keep him hydrated with the blood he was losing. Thankfully he is doing a lot better and the bleeding has stopped, we have started to introduce him to whole herring every other feed. At the minute we are still force feeding him, hopefully after a few more days we will just need to assist him.

Dory is doing really well and has started to put on weight. She is talking a little longer to pick up the art of eating fish on her own though and we are still having to teach her at every feed how to swallow them.

All 3 of these pups are progressing well & we will keep you posted on the pups as they move through the different stages of rehab.

If you would like to help any of our seals through rehabilitation you can do so by clicking on one of the links below.
