Help us to plant native trees!

By supporting our efforts you’ll be directly helping to restore valuable, riparian habits throughout the Owenavarragh Priority Area for Action (EPA). This project aims to have three significant outcomes:
1) Increase terrestrial, freshwater and marine habitat and biodiversity.
2) Mitigate climate change
3) Improve local water quality

We’ll be planting 8 native species: Wild Cherry, Sessile Oak, Hawthorn, Hazel, Birch, Grey Sallow, Alder, and Blackthorn. These together, will produce a thriving riparian habitat and create a natural filtration system to prevent erosion and  stop pollutants from flowing into our precious waterways.

We will continue to tie together the efforts of conservationists, farmers and fisheries to create a more sustainable environment for all to enjoy in the future.

Thank you for joining our proactive conservation efforts and helping us to restore these fragile habitats.
