AVIAN INFLUENZA:
What to do if you find a sick, dying or dead bird?

Visit Birdwatch Ireland for more information.

Have you found an injured or orphaned wild animal? PLEASE DO NOT touch or pick it up unless it is in immediate danger.

Please phone your local animal or wildlife rescue centre for advice first.

If you need to move the animal you should put it in a quiet & dark place, then call for help. Wild creatures are not calmed by contact with humans, so talking to them and stroking them only increases their stress.

For help, we recommend you check out the reference website: www.irishwildlifematters.ie for species specific guidelines.

It will also direct you to a rehabilitation facility that can help you in your area.
